1.  Research:  What beliefs did Elizabethans hold about fairies?
2.  Google image search: Puck, Oberon and Titania...take a look at how these characters have been represented.
3.  Read around 2.1.59-187 with your companies.
4.  Note Vocabulary
5.  Answer the following questions:

a.  What is the new setting in this scene? How is it different from Athens?
b.  What is the new mood?
c.  What does the reader find out about the current relationship between Oberon, King of the Fairies, and d.  Titania, Queen of the Fairies, from Puck and the first fairy?
d.  How have Oberon and Titania been involved in the past with Theseus and Hippolyta, and why have they come to Athens?
e. What effect has their quarrel had on nature, on the seasons, on humans?
f.  Why won't Titania give up the changeling to Oberon?
g. What does Oberon send Puck to find?
h. What are Oberon's plans for Titania?
